LAWYERS WORST PEOPLE TO HEAD THE KENYA ANTI CORRUPTION COMMISSION

I am not a believer in collective condemnation but I somehow find the history about certain matters very interesting. when a certain phenomena develops a pattern of events which appear to be repeating the same pattern over a given period of time, precedence determines the likelihood that the pattern will always be repeated in future,hence the phrase 'history repeats itself'.all over the world,it has become so apparent that the study of law perfects someone's ability to lie,and not only argue but argue to win the argument by justifying whatever he says whether right or wrong.the law itself is studied and made on the basis of an argument .it is a profession that therefore somehow focuses more on ability to advance a winning argument rather than think,reason,apply wisdom and knowledge in pursuit of truth and justice.
In Kenya,the part of the country's history covered both in the political and economic spectrum,the law and the professionals in its practice have used arguments as trained to advance lies and defend the wrongdoers while knowing that its immoral.
Kenyan law has made many lawyers who now represent the worst that happens in this country. look at the following scenarios:Julie Ward murder;the law exonerated the murderers whom the police had worked hard to investigate and get close to truth. Chlomondeley case is another example,the assassination of Hon.David Kimutai Too is another case in point. because OF greed someone came to court to defend that policeman who murdered Hon .Too. These are just a few examples that expose the greed of lawyer. Some of them have swindled money belonging to clients .this is not a profession of noble men. The problem Kenyans are facing now come because of the interests of lawyers who are ready to work for money through making false arguments. Sincerity is an alien word in this profession. Therefore insinuation that they are most qualified to run an anti corruption commission is a a nightmare which Kenyans are taking too long to discover. It didn't work with Ringera and it cant work under anyone in the legal profession. Those unfortunate advertisements should be revoked so that responsible Kenyans of goodwill with good intentions can lead the anti corruption war. .

The right person to head the anti corruption commission should be one dedicated and with ability to unravel all corrupt practices but not one who is trained in financial greed and arguments .As we work towards improvement of service delivery and performance in our institutions,we must also change the professions that have failed before,because we need work to be done and not mere arguments. No lawyer is going to bring solutions anywhere-.
