KALONZO’S POLITICAL DESPERATION GOING TOO FAR

KALONZO’S POLITICAL DESPERATION GOING TOO FAR

Kalonzo Musyoka’s political despair took a new twist last week when out of the blues he claimed to be working for a tribal alliance with William Ruto.for the last few months, Kalonzo ,s political life has been thrown into total confusion prompting him to try his usual opportunistic political antics which has made him to start making uncalculated public pronouncements.

Recently he claimed that PNU had agreed to front him for presidency come 2012, but later it turned out to be absolute lies when PNU chairman and presidential potential candidate George Saitoti came out fighting against the false claims Kalonzo had made. Some time back he went to Meru region and claimed that Merus supported him for 2012 bid, something majority of senior Meru leaders denounced vehemently.

At some point he claimed that he had a pact with Uhuru Kenyatta, a claim that Uhuru’s political lieutenants dismissed strongly.

Kalonzo seems to be too selfish to recognize the problems Kenyans are going through now so that the only thing that pre-occupies his mind is cheap selfish personal and self centered ambitions. It has already proved that no Kenyan citizen has ever benefited from Kalonzo’s rise in political positions. He has only been known to use people to advance his own interests the way he is using Mutula Kilonzo now.

There are few Kenyans who can buy Kalonzo’s desperate tricks now. Thus it’s no strange that William Ruto too downplayed the idea of forming an alliance with Kalonzo whose support had reduced to paltry levels even within ukambani.

Kalonzo now finds himself lonely after noticing that Kibaki and Raira have found a common ground to work towards ensuring the running of the country during these challenging times in the country’s history.

Its lack of leadership ideas that has pushed Kalonzo on the wall to make unprecedented political pronouncements so as at least to attract some media publicity which he cant attract if he focused on proposing mechanisms of putting the country together, a task too elephant for him.

While real leaders are busy working on bringing unity in the country, Kalonzo has jumped gun and started organizing stage-managed opinion polls thinking that anyone will be swayed by his imaginary dreams.

Kenya now needs serious brainwork in leadership and guidance something Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka can’t tackle with his shortsighted ambitions which still drags him to think from a tribal angle since he can’t manage handling any objective national debate.

Kenya now needs leaders to direct it towards stability. such kind of leadership doesn’t include petty and clown characters like Kalonzo.due to lack of any new idea he has embarked on trying to impress his few supporters in ukambani by claiming non existent and wishful imaginations in the name of tribal alliances with people who don’t even consider Kalonzo a leader but rather an opportunistic sycophant to any government in power.

While Kenyans are trying to embrace unity and live together as a nation, Kalonzo is busy shouting exposing his limited understanding of consequences of tribalism even after what happened in 2007. all of us Kenyans are trying to get to a level of electing leaders based on their ideas and patriotism and ability to maintain peace and promote brotherhood in this country, Kalonzo is busy trying to define people by tribes something that cost us heavily in 2007.given the role he played in putting this country in a mess he should apologize to Kenyans and encourage people to vote objectively in future instead of encouraging them to think politically along tribal lines.

His proposal of what he calls KKK should remain in him and whoever thinks like him in this time and age should be condemned.KKK originally means Ku Klux Klan a white supremacist group that is known for the massacres they visited on black people in the US . The group is known notoriously for its murder of blacks mercilessly. Today Kalonzo is claiming intentions to seek power by advancing the KKK idea. And even if Kenya continued defining politics by tribe, no Kalenjin or kikuyu in his right mind will ever vote for opportunist Kalonzo Musyoka whose support even in ukambani has reduced to a small region in Mwingi north called Seikuru.

The days of political opportunism are getting over and Kenyans need real leaders, for the challenges ahead need wise leadership, not the shortsightedness of the likes of Kalonzo and his ilk.
